Phone calls are dealt with in a timely manner.
Phone calls may be returned when staff are available.
We do not participate in electronic consultations.
Management of Patient health information
All health information is held in a strictly confidential manner. Patient information in referrals is only provided to specialist and external parties with the explicit permission of the individual patient concerned.
A patient with serious and abnormal results will be followed up by the practice. Our practice is to make three phone calls to the phone numbers you provide us with. If we are not able to contact you we may choose to send a letter to the last address we have on file for you.
Patients are not contacted routinely for normal results or for results which do not change their clinical management. Normally when results are ordered you will be given detailed instructions about the following appointment in order to go through these results with the doctor. When you have been asked to have an X-ray or other radiology studies, we will usually request to see you the following working day to go through the results with you.
